We're proud to announce to you that we have Graciano Enwerem Confirmed for our Poetry/Spoken Word section.
Enwerem is a big catch a fish that literally tore apart our fishing net.
A LITTLE BIT OF INFO ON GRACIANO
Graciano got into the spotlight when he was crowned supremo battler at Nigeria's foremost Spoken Word competition war of words 3, since then he's been growing in leaps and bounds.
On his belt is the proud acclaim of having grace the stage of some of the best spoken word shows across the nation, one of such shows is i2xMedia's Word Up an A-Class spoken word show an EGC's Be Blessed an open Mic poetry event.

He also boasts of countless awards as an evidence of his continuous upward surge in the art.
Graciano as he's popularly called by frenzied admirers and fans is an on air personality at rhythm 93.7 PortHarcourt where he anchors a poetry/spoken word show.
He recently started a literary movement called FIGURE OF SPEECH(FOS) FOS is a movement on a social media platform whatsapp to be precise. It's geared at honing young literary talents, helping them realize their potentials. Also on the menu of figure of speech is a poetry league, first of it's kind at least the first I've seen. In these league, poets go head to head just like in a soccer league. The poets who amassed the highest number of points at the end of a season is crowned champion and goes home with a handsome sum.
Graciano is one personality who oozes charisma, he is a talker extra ordinaire! Trust me, you don't want to miss seeing him for nothing!

Once again we unveil another shining light confirmed for our Spoken Word/poetry section of a festival which entails almost everything literature, you name it, you'll find it at this festival.
Back to nitty gritty, on our list is Olayinka Samson Aremu a.k.a Poethick Samurai. Samson is one immensely talented young Man who's doing exploits in the spoken word circuit. Under his belt is a long list of performances in A-list spoken word shows and in his note pad some poems worth taking a second and a third look at.
Samson is considered the most humble poet around the bloc, no wonder he readily accepted our invitation when we extended it.
At the moment, he is one of the hottest commodity in the art, demand for him is quite high, more reason for you to come see what the hype is all about.
Amongst other accolades or praise I can shower on this Young man, I will not forget to add that on his first try as a spoken word artiste he bagged the first runner up spot at one of the most reckoned with poetry slam across the country War Of Words.
Samson is known for not giving you less than his all, so when you come to this festival looking forward to see Samurai wield his sword of words with words of wars, you will be anything but disappointed.

For our  poetry section, confirmed on our list is;
Multiple award winning Kemi Isilamiya Bakare a.k.a Kemistree

A thorough bred of Aj City, runner up war of words 1, winner EKO (Lagos) Poetry Slam amongst other notable and numerous competitions.
A down to earth young lady, Kemi is one young lassie who literally spits fire, with her you expect nothing short of ballistic missiles. She'll trill and fulfil you, and them with words she kill and heal you.
Kemi Bakare Kemistree is currently an under graduate studying political science at Olabisi Onabanjo University.
A product of Aj house of poetry
Where she currently holds the post of a creative director.
This is just a tidbit out of our overly loaded menu extending over many aspects of literary activities and much more.

HERE IT COMES

This a maiden edition of a historical effort of bringing poets, painters and musicians together in an atmosphere of art undiluted. This year’s festival will have the award winning poet, Odia Ofeimu to lead a panel discussion of the festival theme-THE ARTIST; HIS ART AND SOCIETY.

There will be Over 25 poets/ spoken word poets from various cities who will be gracing the festival which will provide the much needed diversity in the artistic encounter that opens up conversations, “agon” and National idealistic development. 

There will also be an Art exhibition of paintings from some of the best students in the department of fine and applied art. So painting enthusiasts all over the world gracing this festival should get ready to take some wonderful painting home for subsidized prices.

Benin is well known for her exploits in sculpture, so in an atmosphere of historical sculptures such as the masterpiece of Sir Victor Uwaifo, the amazing feeling and appreciation of creativity and craftsmanship cannot be over emphasized. Therefore, the festival will feature a guided tour around some art works in various locations of the Ekehuan Campus of the University of Benin. Yes you correctly read that. – a guided tour round the Ekehuan Campus of great UNIBEN. I bet this is one experience you won’t want to miss.

Also on the menu, throughout the time of the festival there will be bookstands where known and budding authors will showcase and feature their works, on the book stand three official books will be on the spotlight, these books we shall disclose subsequently. On sale will also be some amazing books and artistic exchange.

The UNIBEN LITERARY FESTIVAL is one event that we are aiming to be a benchmark and remain a talking point for a very long time to come, that explains why we went all out to enrich our menu with the very best from out there and over there.
